He's Here

My phone rang at 5:32 on Friday morning March 11th.  It was Megan.  She is so funny...she said, "Hey Mom, I'm just calling to chat at 5:30 in the morning!"  Nope...not chatting.  She was in labor with her little man.  She asked a couple of questions and I told her to head on to the hospital.  I would meet them there.  I got to the waiting area at 6:20 in the morning and beat them by almost thirty minutes!!  I was so excited!!  So we began the waiting game.  Megan and Thad checked into triage and they did all their stuff.  She got in a labor/delivery room.  She was dilated to a four and her contractions were steady and getting intense.  She opted for an epidural and I don't blame her one bit.  Natural is awesome but lets face it....I would take straight up heroin if it was offered for pain.  Wouldn't you?  What's that??  I think your pants just caught on fire...if you get my drift.  I took a gazillion photos.  Just wait I am going to post tons.  And we waited.  My poor Megan labored for twenty long hours.  Hard stuff.  Harder to watch.  Remember....she's my baby.  My baby girl.  But she is tough too.  Her sister was tough and Megan was tough.  Erica got to be in there and she was such an awesome helper.  But Thad was the one....Encourager Extraordinaire!  He was an awesome birthing coach.  No more talking....get to some photos!

When we first got into her actual delivery room.

We thought it was cute to hold up a chalk sign for her to record how far along she was!

I am not on twitter but Megan wanted one that said "Hashtag" with her progress.

I love this one.  they are so cute!

Still all smiles.  It had been a long day!

Things are getting a little more intense.

I think this smile is a little more forced than any of the others.  But we are almost there!!

Did I say getting a little more intense??  How about a lot!

Meg was not feeling the sign holding thing anymore but her sister was!  A TEN!!!

I took 8 billion of her pushing but this is the last big push.

Megan finally got to meet her baby.  Oh my gosh...pure love like nothing else.

Thad cried as hard as Megan did.  Such a sweet and precious family.

Hugs and kisses from Daddy.  Just the best.

Meet Finley Scott Williams.  Born March 11, 2016.  8 lbs 7 ounces and 21 1/2 inches long.

My baby is a mommy now.

I cannot thank God enough for a healthy baby...again.  The Lord just blesses our lives over and over and over.  Thank you Jesus.

Awww what a perfect post. I'm sure your daughter is well pleased with your documentation. Congratulations all the way around.

My pants aren't on fire...but I just bet if it got right down to it, you wouldn't take the heroin. ☺
