Full Days

With Megan's wedding date approaching fast (too fast) each and every day is just full of activity.  This weekend she and her bridesmaids went to one of the girls family mountain house in Virginia.  They are going tubing down the New River, playing games that they took with them and essentially having good, old-fashioned fun.  I am just so proud of them and their choices in this "party like a rockstar" generation that is all you see on tv and the like.

Casey, Suzanne, Jenna, Megan, Kathryn, Brittany and Erica

Megan has six bridesmaids and three attendants who will pass out programs and register guests.  Mariah and Anna could not make this trip and Katelin was already at her families mountain house waiting on them.  We got Megan's bridal portraits back this week and even though I am very biased she will make a beautiful bride.  Her dress is just gorgeous on her.  Thad is really a very lucky guy.....I think he knows!  Megan on the other hand is a very lucky girl....I think she knows too.

There is light at the end of this....mess???

The countdown is on.  We are less than a month away from my daughters' wedding.  We are scurrying to finish up the last details.  The only thing left to do besides send in the final head count to the caterer is to have the programs printed.  To say I am frazzled, worn, anxious and a wreck is a humongous-ginormous-super-de-duperdy big understatement.  Take a look at my dining room.

This is a combination of shower gifts - slash- wedding - slash - reception decorations and centerpieces.

Needless to say...we cannot eat in here....

Maybe not ever again....

When this is all over and after I have a good long cry.  I am going to repaint and redecorate this room.  It might look the same though since as of today I have no memory of what it looked like.

tiny ballerina

Yesterday Piper took her first ballet class.  She has talked about ballet for a very long time.  She has danced tons of ballet dances for me and performed many impromptu recitals.  So to say she was excited is a total disclaimer.  She was pumped!!!

Here are the three tiny dancers peering in the window waiting for the door to be opened.

Piper was so cute in her new ballet tights, leotard and ballet shoes.  All right off the shelf of our local Wal-mart.  Who knew they featured items from the fine arts???

Still waiting on the bench outside for their class time to start.

Already at the barre doing plies' and first position, second position and so on....

Not so sure what this position is but I see it required the ballet shoes to come off.

I don't know if I can lift my leg to the barre, Mimi....

Ballet is not for me yet....I like paci's, and goldfish too much!

Sometimes playing with my daddy is the most fun!!

Piper did really well for her first time.  She learned alot and this will only teach her discipline and self-control. If she turns out to be a real ballerina...Yay!!  But if not, I will cheer like a madwoman at all her recitals like she just performed Swan Lake at Carnegie Hall.

Summer = Water, Around Here

This summer so far has been really fun.  For the little girls birthday they got a great water slide.  Blake brought  it over to the house so Piper, Savannah and some of their friends could play.  I have a really big yard with not a lot of trees and most of it is really flat so it is a perfect place to set this thing up.  So fun!!

Piper has no fear at all she climbed right on up and just flew down the slide.

Watch her climb!  She just knew what to do when her daddy told her, Green holes for feet and orange handles to pull up."  Such a smart girl.

C'mon Savannah...the water is nice.  You'll like it, I promise....

No, no, no Piper...I do not like water out of that hose...it is c-o-l-d!!!!!

This was the funniest shot of the day.  She looks like she was hurt but she came down lickety-split and went again.

Okay, okay everyone...I'm coming up.  Maybe.....

Swimming with Aunt Meg.  I am so glad and thankful to have a pool.  It is the most fun.

At least for most of us!!  Poor Savannah.  She is just like her Mimi...she likes her pool water hot...not one degree below 84.

Savannah you are totally missing out.  This is the best the ever.

See...I'm flying, I'm flying!!

Uh...that's okay sissy....I like it right here....by the baby pool that Mimi puts water from the house in that is like my bath water.  you can fly all day long.
