Hey Y'all,
I have been super busy lately but that is really no excuse. I have also had double portions on my plate lately. That too, is no excuse to ignore my 5 faithful readers. Sorry girls. This is Thanksgiving week and it is my favorite holiday. Mostly because I eat like a horse and love leftover pie. But, truly it is a reflective time on what to be thankful for in my own life. First, I am so thankful that no matter what Jesus loves me. He really does, even when I am so unlovable and just plain mean. Also, when I am sure that no one else even thinks about me...Jesus loves me and He thinks about me. You too, dear sister. Next, I am thankful for my children. They are so precious to me. With all their quirks and funny ways and different personalities...I just love them. I am also thankful for my job....even when I say I hate it. I am so glad that I have a job when so many do not. I am thankful for the rest of my family too. Even though there are times when I wish I belonged to another family and I am sure there are many times when they wish I did too! I am very thankful for my friends. I have some wonderful, praying, mentoring, fabulously caring girlfriends that I just love and could never thank enough. Especially in this tough season in my life. Tougher times are coming and I know they will be there to dry my tears and laugh out loud with me and to stand around me and pray for me when I cannot utter one word. I wish everyone had friends like I do. They are the best. I am thankful for all my material possessions...my home, my clothes, my car and so much....stuff. I am also so thankful for the pure luxeries of life...running water in my house, electricity (everyday & all the time), food in my cabinets and all the other things that we take for granted. In this time of year people tend to give more of themselves to others. I am so glad for that. But what about in February? You know when we are so tired of winter and we pretend to not notice how desperate some people look. Lord, how I pray that I am still thankful then for your provision and that God prompts me to still see the need.
Bless Y'all,
Cindy
My goal with this blog is to keep a journal type account of my walk with Christ, my children and my grandchildren. To share what wisdom I have been given and have learned. To share the occasional recipe, photograph, funny story and possibly a teary one. God's mercies are new every morning. We each get a fresh, clean slate each day. So grab a cup of coffee and enjoy!

Wedding Pictures....Finally
Dancing at the reception!!! So fun!!!
What a beautiful and yummy cake. Chocolate with raspberry filling. Yum!!
Erica and Blake. Such a happy couple. This is their favorite picture.
Me and my two girls. I cannot believe they are so grown-up.
What a sweet couple.
I have over 350 more pictures and nothing would please me more than to share these with the world but I really won't........maybe The whole day was just wonderful for Erica and Blake with only a couple of small issues. The reception was such fun and the food was great and the cake was so good. I only cried at one point on my dear friend Cathy's shoulder. They had a marvelous honeymoon and are settling into married life really well. They have been to my house for Sunday lunch after church every Sunday. I must say that pleases this southern mama just real fine, too. Now....I need me some grandbabies!!!!!
Bless Y'all,
Cindy
